ITW's Paslode Brad Nailer creates a masterpiece at Tate Modern

All seven levels of wooden flooring at Tate Modern, Britain’s
new national museum of modern art in London, have been
fitted with the fast-firing Paslode 3250/65-F16 Brad Nailer
from ITW Construction Products.
Specialist fit-out contractor, Ruddy Joinery Ltd, used
over 2 million brads to fix 6,300m2 of kiln-dried oak
flooring – a feat achieved with ease and speed
thanks to the ITW Paslode nailer’s high loading
capacity and ability to fire an unlimited number of
brads.
Unlike conventional floor installations which employ
tongue and groove as a secondary fixing method, the
25mm brads fired from the 3000 series nailer are the
only fixing used on the wooden floors at the £134
million Tate Modern development.
The ITW Paslode nailer is safe to use. Its load-safety
sequential trigger ensures that one brad is shot each
time the nose is depressed.
The ITW Paslode nailer’s depth of drive adjustment
allows increased depth of brad penetration and ensures
that Tate Modern’s flooring is firmly secured
without the need for additional fastenings, saving a
significant amount of time and effort.
The 3250/65-F16 also delivers a quality finish and
is ideal for use on the untreated new-oak strips at
Tate Modern, as its no-mar tip protects any wood surface
from marking. |
